Scientist Sir Prafulla Chandra Roy (PC) was born on 2 August 8, at village Raduli, on the Kopaktha bank of the Paikgachha upazila of Khulna. PC Roy has been very talented since childhood. His studies began, his father founded M.E. At school

He was admitted to the Kolkata Hair School in the year 12. However, his education was interrupted due to illness. He was forced to return to his village.

While living in the village his life changed drastically. He read a lot of books on various subjects stored in the library of the house.

Alexander Pedler was a professor of chemistry at Presidency College, Calcutta. His interest in chemistry came to prominence with this famous professor. In addition to college textbooks, PC Roy used to collect chemistry books from various libraries.

In his efforts, he set up laboratories at home and conducted various experiments on chemistry. He then went to Edinburgh University in Scotland with a Gilchrist scholarship. From there he obtained BSc and DSc degrees.

At the time, he was awarded the 'Hope Prize' for best research paper. Many countries in Europe returned to Prafulla Roy in the 5th. He joined Presidency College as an Assistant Professor.
